Ickenham and Swakeleys Horticultural Society results

Posted by Dan Coombs on Sep 7, 09 11:27 AM in Clubs/societies

A VAST display of pot plants, shrubs, and autumn flowers were the backdrop for a morning of hot competition at a horticultural show.

The Ickenham and Swakeleys Autumn show was described as a huge success by all who attended, with a great quality of vegetables, cooked exhibits and wine entries.

There was also a junior class which was well supported, thanks to a new initiative between the Society and Glebe Junior School, in Sussex Road, Ickenham.

In these under 16s sections there were interesting displays from junior cookery entries, with society veterans describing the youngsters as being potential future trophy winners.

The society now has a website, which can be viewed at www.ickenhamhorticultural.co.uk
