RESIDENTS living in sheltered housing in Ickenham have been left feeling positive following their first meeting with their MP.

John Randall, MP for Uxbridge (Con), visited elderly residents in Court House, Court Road, Ickenham.

They discussed their concerns which include a lack of access to dental practices, and showed Mr Randall around their accommodation.

Derek Hughes, chair of trustees at Court House, said: "Residents enjoyed Mr Randall's company and were impressed by the interest he took in them."

The sheltered house is provided by Abbeyfield who provide accommodation for up to eight older people suffering from loneliness and looking to maintain their independence.

Mr Randall attended following an invitation from the residents living there.

We'd like to hear from you.
